Hello...I just have to tell y'all that I am officially the mother of a high school graduate. YAY!!! It's SOOOOO exciting and frightening all at the same time.
Most days I see the young man that stands before me but there are still times when I get a glimpse of that little boy and I wonder... how did time slip away so quickly...
We are so proud of our son! Not only has he graduated high school but because he was homeschooled he was given the opportunity to finish his senior year at college, graduating with 22 college credits already behind him. The year has been filled with lessons, struggles and exciting opportunities. I can't wait to see what the future holds.
Looking back upon the years I remember many moments...days...and yes.. even years that I wasn't sure we would make it through. I'm sure many of you know exactly what I'm talking about. Maybe, your experiencing one of those seasons now? Raising children is hard...but it is also the greatest joy in the world. Don't give up! Pray. And keep putting one foot in front of the other...because watching your kids grow into kind, responsible adults who love God will be worth every difficult moment!
Gotta go for now. I have a party to plan! =)
P.S. Oh, and in the business of life I have totally forgotten to update y'all about my juice fast...lets just say I started... and then it was a train wreck. =) Oh well, that's life sometimes. Right? I'll get back on it and meet my goals but for now I have more important matters to attend to.
Until then...
Jessie
